Muses / 2025
Standing before his brilliant sculptures, I contemplated the real, living models—the muses—whose forms he transformed into tangible masterpieces.
Inspired by Antonio Canova, the renowned Italian Neoclassical sculptor known for his marble work.
These were real women who once breathed, laughed, and loved.
My goal was to peel back time, look beyond the cold marble, and rediscover and re-imagine these enigmatic fgures…
Beauty often arises from the delicate interplay between nature, human perception, and the art of creation. The organic form of the female body serves as a canvas for perfect curves and angles, inviting admiration and respect. Artists, particularly sculptors, have captured this essence, transforming it into timeless sculptures that embody both beauty and idealism. My series is inspired by living bodies—muses that provided the creative spark needed to translate emotions into tangible masterpieces. These living models, with their forms and expressions, once breathed, laughed, and loved. Today and forever, they remain shrouded in the dust of history, their stories echoing through the ages.
